Anaheim 2 is in the history books once again with Eli Tomac winning the 250 class and stretching out his point lead and Ryan Villopoto taking his second win, the only repeat winner so far in the series, and claims the red number plate as he takes over the lead in the points chase.  Here is a collection of photos from the daytime practice as well as the night’s races.

The second round of the Winter Cup thundered through Cahuilla Creek MX following a quick SoCal winter rain the previous day.  The track was in epic conditions to start out the day, but as the races clicked off the soft ground formed up deep ruts and lots of rough chop through the racing surface.  The second round of the series grew larger with 495 entries for the day and full gates in several classes.  The races ran smooth with tight racing in every class throughout the day.   For full race coverage, click on over to Transworld MX Racing to find results and HUGE photo gallery of all the racersclicked by Casey Davis.

Went out to Cahuilla Creek MX to get some laps in before next week’s TWMX/Muscle Milk race.   The track was a lot of fun and is a fast layout.  I took my personal photographer Sandra with me and she grabbed some shots of me today as well as a few others mixed in.  It is nice to be on the other side of the lens once in a while, even for an old and slow rider like me.  Check out the gallery below to see the photos.

The new Transworld Motocross/Muscle Milk racing kicked off their first series at Perris Raceway with the opening round of the 2012 Winter Cup.  Strong breezes greeted the racers throughout the day but had no effect on the racing action.  Perris Raceway is a great track for racing and had multiple lines through several corners forcing the racers to battle for the inside line through the straights.  The race brought in over 450 entries with many large classes and lots of battles on the track.   For more information on the races, results, schedules and general info, go to http://www.twmxrs.com.

The first race of the 2012 SX is now history and the series moves on to Phoenix next week.  It was a great opener with plenty of on-track drama as riders made critical errors during the main event, mixing up the finishing order at the end.   For complete SX coverage, make sure and visit the TransworldMX.com website.   See the gallery below for a few images from Anaheim.

Perris Raceway had an open practice day for everyone to bring out their new Christmas presents and test them out.  There was a good sized crowd there but it seemed to be a very clean day of riding with very few people crashing.  The track was incredible condition and you can’t beat the Southern California weather for it being late December.   I took a lot of photos today, check out the gallery below to see them.

The 2011 edition of A Day in the Dirt is now history as the dust settled on Pala Raceway.   The races today included riders Ken Roczen, Grant Langston, Jimmy Albertson, Ryan Hughes and a number of other national caliber riders.  See the gallery below for photos from the Open GP, Moto-a-gogo and Coup de Gras races.

The first day of the 2011 edition of A Day in the Dirt has concluded with many of the regulars in the field as well as Doug Henry riding his special-built Yamaha.  Austin Stroupe made a dominating appearance in the Pro/Am race finishing ahead of Josh Grant on his new Jeff Ward Racing Kawasaki and Jeremy McGrath.  Todays races included the vintage races, vets, film industry races and and kids.   Check out the gallery below from the action from the first day’s races.
