Vet X wrapped up the Insano Inferno summer series at Racetown.   It was hot up there, but not nearly as bad as it could have been.   The track was excellent taking into account the sun beating down on it and temperatures in the upper 90′s.   It’s been a while since I’ve made it up to Racetown and was glad I did.   The turnout for the race was again higher than rounds of previous summer series making this years Insano Inferno series the strongest yet for Vet X.   See below for some highlights from the day, and to see all the photos CLICK HERE.

Went to Cahuilla Creek MX today to put in some seat time on the MX bike, and the track was in awesome condition.   The last few weeks the track has been getting better and better and today, despite a reasonable crowd, never got rough or dry all morning long.   There were excellent lines through every corner with many inside berms and I had a great time.   Check out the pictures below, I didn’t wander around the track too much, so only a few different views.

The Over the Hump series started back up for the second half of their mountain bike race series at Irvine Lake.   I went out there with my niece and nephews to grab a few photos of them as they races.   The turnout for the race was great, I was surprised at how many people came to compete.   It has given me some incentive to brush off the mountain bike and get some miles in and catch a round or two before the season is done.   Check the photos below for some photos from the races.

Vet X picked up their Summer series after a nearly 2 month break.  The second round was held at Cahuilla Creek MX, and the track was in great condition for the races.  Over 200 riders came out to do battle for round 2.   See the photo highlights below, and to see the full gallery of photos, CLICK HERE TO FIND YOUR PHOTO.

After a long break, I headed out to Starwest to spin some laps on their latest track.  I hadn’t been there in probably 8-10 months or so, and it was good to get back out and ride a tighter track.  Good day of riding with friends!

Pala Raceway hosted the press intro for the new 2011 KTM motocross bikes and I headed out as part of the Transworld MX contingent to shoot photos.   KTM brought out their entire line of motocross bikes, including the new 350SXF as well as a couple 2-stroke holdouts, the 250SX and 150SX.  I didn’t get a chance to ride the 2-strokes, but I did ride the line-up of 4-stroke bikes.   The 350 was a very fun bike with much more power than I was expecting.   Below are some photos of Mike Sleeter, KTM and TWMX test rider, turning laps on the 350. 

Day two of the USGP kicked off with excellent racing in both the MX1 and MX2 classes.  It was great to see several American riders as well as other AMA national riders paired up against the top GP riders.  There were epic battles in both classes.   The crowd  was relatively small, and those that didn’t attend missed out on a great day of racing and some ultra-trick motorcycles in the pits.

The FIM GP made a stop in the US at Glen Helen after many years of not haing a round Stateside.  Youthstream and the FIM came in and brought a  very professional atmosphere to Glen Helen.  Here are photos from the practice an qualifying on the first day of the GP weekend.

There are several people that post on Proride.com or have a connection to the website that were out at Hangtown this weekend for the national.  

The outdoor MX national series kicked off at the Hangtown track in Rancho Cordova, CA.   An excellent day of racing with strong classes in both the 250 and 450 classes.   It was great seeing Eli Tomac win a moto and take his first overall win to start off his professional career.   Lots of great photos from the races, this is a big gallery.   Also, don’t forget to check out the coverage of the race on Transworld Motocross.
