Anaheim 2 is in the history books once again with Eli Tomac winning the 250 class and stretching out his point lead and Ryan Villopoto taking his second win, the only repeat winner so far in the series, and claims the red number plate as he takes over the lead in the points chase.

Went out to Cahuilla Creek MX to get some laps in before next week’s TWMX/Muscle Milk race. The track was a lot of fun and is a fast layout.

The new Transworld Motocross/Muscle Milk racing kicked off their first series at Perris Raceway with the opening round of the 2012 Winter Cup. Strong breezes greeted the racers throughout the day but had no effect on the racing action.

Over the holiday break I spent a lot of time on my bicycles and motorcycle. I got out the GoPro and did a couple helmet cam videos.

Perris Raceway had an open practice day for everyone to bring out their new Christmas presents and test them out. There was a good sized crowd there

The final round of the outdoor nationals were at Pala Raceway and it was an excellent day of racing. Two championships were still on the line even though Dean Wilson had clinched the 250 class.

Went out to Perris Raceway for some weekend practice laps and Sandra came out and shot photos all morning. The track has made some changes in recent weeks and is a lot of fun right now.

The second half of the outdoor MX season started off at Millville, MN at the Spring Creek MX track. The day before the national brought a deluge of rain with over 5″ falling in the areas surrounding the track. Once the rain stopped the humidity and heat crept in.

X Racing (Vet X) kicked off their summer series at Cahuilla Creek MX on the holiday weekend. There were over 280 entries on the holiday weekend with many families camping out for the weekend.

The Ranch built a very close replica of the famed Carlsbad Raceway at their facility. Marc Peters did an excellent job of recreating the sections of the track and was very reminiscent of the days of riding the long gone Carlsbad track.

The outdoor national MX season is officially here! Hangtown kicked off the 12 round series in a big way with excellent racing all day. Chad Reed and Ryan Dungey battled for the overall win in the 450 class, while Blake Bagget took the top honors in the 250

The day of the GP started off with lots of rain, the vet GP was in steady rain and muddy conditions. By the time the start of the MX2 race had come, the rain had subsided but the track was a muddy mess.

One of my friends is about to be deployed so we got a group together and went out for a farewell ride before he leaves. It turned out to be a great day at Starwest MX, starting off cloudy and the track was in awesome shape.

X Racing ended their winter series with a 2 day event at Cahuilla Creek MX. The track delivered a great layout that the racers enjoyed.
