 Went out to Cahuilla Creek MX to get some laps in before next week’s TWMX/Muscle Milk race. The track was a lot of fun and is a fast layout.

 The new Transworld Motocross/Muscle Milk racing kicked off their first series at Perris Raceway with the opening round of the 2012 Winter Cup. Strong breezes greeted the racers throughout the day but had no effect on the racing action.

 The final round of the outdoor nationals were at Pala Raceway and it was an excellent day of racing. Two championships were still on the line even though Dean Wilson had clinched the 250 class.

 The second half of the outdoor MX season started off at Millville, MN at the Spring Creek MX track. The day before the national brought a deluge of rain with over 5″ falling in the areas surrounding the track. Once the rain stopped the humidity and heat crept in.

 X Racing (Vet X) kicked off their summer series at Cahuilla Creek MX on the holiday weekend. There were over 280 entries on the holiday weekend with many families camping out for the weekend.

 The Ranch built a very close replica of the famed Carlsbad Raceway at their facility. Marc Peters did an excellent job of recreating the sections of the track and was very reminiscent of the days of riding the long gone Carlsbad track.

 The day of the GP started off with lots of rain, the vet GP was in steady rain and muddy conditions. By the time the start of the MX2 race had come, the rain had subsided but the track was a muddy mess.
