The new Transworld Motocross/Muscle Milk racing kicked off their first series at Perris Raceway with the opening round of the 2012 Winter Cup.  Strong breezes greeted the racers throughout the day but had no effect on the racing action.  Perris Raceway is a great track for racing and had multiple lines through several corners forcing the racers to battle for the inside line through the straights.  The race brought in over 450 entries with many large classes and lots of battles on the track.   For more information on the races, results, schedules and general info, go to http://www.twmxrs.com.

Perris Raceway had an open practice day for everyone to bring out their new Christmas presents and test them out.  There was a good sized crowd there but it seemed to be a very clean day of riding with very few people crashing.  The track was incredible condition and you can’t beat the Southern California weather for it being late December.   I took a lot of photos today, check out the gallery below to see them.

I went out to Perris Raceway to meet up with some of my friends and get some photos.  First time I’ve been there since the new management has taken over and the track looks like a lot of fun.  Since I haven’t healed up 100% yet, I was relegated to taking photos and watching, but the track and conditions really had me wishing I could ride. 

Since I am on the injured reserve list, I went up to Perris Raceway and met up with a group of friends and snapped a few photos.  The track looked like it was in perfect condition and they have re-routed some sections and added in some new jumps.   It looked like a lot of fun, it made me wish I was on the bike though.   There was a good turnout of riders despite other events in the area, but it was a good clean day of riding.

X Racing, the organization formerly known as Vet X, held the second round of their final series of the year, the Xtreme Prize Giveway series, which culminates with the year-end bike giveaway as well as a host of other prizes.   Perris Raceway hosted the round on a day that was in excess of 100 degrees, out of the ordinary for this series.  The heat didn’t scare away the riders as there was a great turnout for the day.   The race recap stories which were formerly on cyclenews.com will now be on http://www.todayscyclenews.com a few days following the races.   All photos from the races can be found at http://www.photoreflect.com/pr3/thumbpage.aspx?e=7202322.   See below for a gallery of highlights from the day.

It was a quiet day at Perris Raceway today with many people in Vegas for the final round of SX.   It was almost like a private rental on a perfectly prepared track.   I didn’t do much riding due to mechanical issues, so I got plenty of photos during the day.  

The first Proride ride day of 2010 was held at Perris Raceway.   The track was in excellent condition for the private ride day and the turnout was higher than normal.  The track was busy for most of the day with split riding sessions from mid-morning until the afternoon.   There is a few highlight photos below, and for a complete gallery of photos, click the following link:   Proride.com Ride Day Photo Gallery

Perris raceway was the host of the third round of the Spring Series.   The track had been changed up a little in the previous days with some new doubles added in.   The track crew ripped the track deep in many sections which made ruts form in some of the corners as well as some choppy sections.   The turnout was a little on the light side with only 179 entries, but was a great day of racing.   To find all of the photos from the race, click on the following link:    CLICK HERE FOR ALL PHOTOS FROM THE RACES

The final round of the Vet X Winter Series beat the rain with excellent track condition.   The two-round finale was split by a rainstorm Saturday evening, but both rounds were run with no weather problems.   The Sunday round started off with some mud in the morning practice, but the track came around to perfect consistency for traction for the rest of the day.   While the turnout was down from the usual Perris rounds of Vet X, there was still lots of racing in every class.    See the below gallery for highlights from the day.   CLICK HERE for the entire gallery of photos from the day.
