The first race of the 2012 SX is now history and the series moves on to Phoenix next week.  It was a great opener with plenty of on-track drama as riders made critical errors during the main event, mixing up the finishing order at the end.   For complete SX coverage, make sure and visit the TransworldMX.com website.   See the gallery below for a few images from Anaheim.

The outdoor national MX season is officially here!  Hangtown kicked off the 12 round series in a big way with excellent racing all day.  Chad Reed and Ryan Dungey battled for the overall win in the 450 class, while Blake Bagget took the top honors in the 250 class with a Pro Circuit top 3 dominating the podium.   For more details on the day’s racing, got to the Transworld MX Race Report to read more.   See some photos from the race in the gallery below.

Day two of A Day in the Dirt races went off smooth with a few different riders making appearances.  The track again held up great after overnight rain soaked the area.   Andrew Short and Josh Strang put on some great racing today in the Coup de Grace race.   Short held off Strang through the race despite Strang never far behind.   Great racing and a successful weekend for the event.

The annual Day in the Dirt races moved down to Pala Raceway this year after the untimely closing of LA County Raceway.   The races kicked off as normal on the new track, built from a combination of the existings tracks the national track.   The track did get rough during periods of the day, but between-race grooming smoothed the races out and the overall rider reviews of the track were very positive.  The vintage races were the first race of the weekend with many classes through the day.   There was a long list of fast riders, both current and former national racers, as well as film and moto industry riders with many tight races during the day.
