Cahuilla Creek hosted Round 6 of the X Racing Xtreme Prize series.  The cloudy cool weather kept the track in great shape the entire day with very little water needed.  The track has had a few jumps added in and a couple minor changes and is probably one of the best layouts they have ever had there.  The Xtreme Prize series heads to the final 2 round weekend in December 3-4 at Glen Helen and includes the year end Yamaha motorcycle giveaway.   CLICK HERE for the entire gallery of photos from Round 6 at Cahuilla Creek.   Also see the photos below for a few highlights from the day.

Went out to Perris Raceway for some weekend practice laps and Sandra came out and shot photos all morning.  The track has made some changes in recent weeks and is a lot of fun right now.   Check out the photos from the morning practice in the gallery below.

X Racing (Vet X) kicked off their summer series at Cahuilla Creek MX on the holiday weekend.   There were over 280 entries on the holiday weekend with many families camping out for the weekend.  The weather for the weekend was not the normal scorching temperatures though with a mixed variety of clouds, sun, haze, sprinkes of rain and a little wind on and off to make things interesting.  There was a ton of great racing in most every class as well.  The series looks to be off to a great start.   Check out some highlights in the gallery below, and for the full gallery of all photos, you can click here for the complete gallery from the day.

The USGP is making its second visit to Glen Helen Raceway with practice and qualifying on Saturday.  The World MX GP championship is only in its 3rd round out of the 15 round schedule, the season is only beginning.  In qualifying, Ken Roczen and Clement Desalle were the two dominant riders in the MX1 and MX2 classes respectively.   Roczen had a runaway win in the MX2 qualifying, while Desalle had a much tighter qualifying race.  Only a handful of US riders showed to try to claim the $100,ooo bonus offered to any US rider that can win the MX1 class.  The racing should be a great battle though with many of the regular GP riders trying to make an early statement in the series.   As always, you can check Transworld Motocross for full race coverage.   See below for a gallery of photos from the qualifying action as seen on the Transworld site.

X Racing ended their winter series with a 2 day event at Cahuilla Creek MX.   The track delivered a great layout that the racers enjoyed.   I went out for the second day of racing and there was a great turnout for the races.  The track eventually started to get rough, but nothing that is unexpected with that many riders on the track.   Lots of great racing all day long and everyone seemed to have a great time.   See the gallery below for some highlights from the day, and CLICK HERE FOR ENTIRE GALLERY OF PHOTOS.

X Racing finished of f their year at Glen Helen Raceway with the last round of the prize series.  The weekend had two rounds, one each day on an overcast and cool weekend.   There was a great turnout both days and the track looked excellent and held up well.   The club will take a few weeks off over the holidays and hit the track again on January 2, 2011.

Since I am on the injured reserve list, I went up to Perris Raceway and met up with a group of friends and snapped a few photos.  The track looked like it was in perfect condition and they have re-routed some sections and added in some new jumps.   It looked like a lot of fun, it made me wish I was on the bike though.   There was a good turnout of riders despite other events in the area, but it was a good clean day of riding.

Vet X wrapped up the Insano Inferno summer series at Racetown.   It was hot up there, but not nearly as bad as it could have been.   The track was excellent taking into account the sun beating down on it and temperatures in the upper 90′s.   It’s been a while since I’ve made it up to Racetown and was glad I did.   The turnout for the race was again higher than rounds of previous summer series making this years Insano Inferno series the strongest yet for Vet X.   See below for some highlights from the day, and to see all the photos CLICK HERE.

Vet X picked up their Summer series after a nearly 2 month break.  The second round was held at Cahuilla Creek MX, and the track was in great condition for the races.  Over 200 riders came out to do battle for round 2.   See the photo highlights below, and to see the full gallery of photos, CLICK HERE TO FIND YOUR PHOTO.

The culmination of the 2010 spring series was at Competitive Edge in Hesperia, CA.   The track was ripped deep and watered in the morning making some deep ruts in the corners, but the track held up well as the day progressed.   Look below from highlights from the day, and click the following link to see all the photos: VET X Spring Series Round 6 Photos
